Dermal Fillers
There are several injectable preparations for correcting facial lines. Each of these has its uses and advantages. It is important that you have the choice of different injections to best fill your specific needs. All injections can be performed in the office and generally take only a few minutes to complete. As such they are suitable as “lunchtime” treatments. They are often combined with muscle relaxation injections for the best effect.

Where can I have injections?

- Smile lines: The lines running from the sides of the nose to the corners of the mouth.
- Frown lines: The area between the eyebrows?
- Smoker's lines: The vertical lines across the top lip?
- Marionette lines: The lines at the corners of the mouth.
- Crows feet: The lines at the outside corners of the eyes.
- Worry lines: The lines across the forehead.
- Lips: To fill out and better define the line of your lips.

Is injection therapy for me?
Probably. However, it is not for everyone. There are some lines and scars that may not respond well to treatment. Also, some people may be sensitive to the product.

How do the injections work?
The dermal filler is injected into the skin to elevate depressions such as acne scars or lines associated with ageing. It is a simple, non-surgical procedure that can be completed within 15-30 minutes depending on your particular needs.

Is it painful?
Most patients report that treatment is slightly uncomfortable, however this can be minimised by skin cooling just before treatment or by applying a local anaesthetic patch to the skin an hour prior to the injection.

Can I return to work immediately?
Straight after treatment the skin over the treated area may look slightly raised and a little reddened. The area can be covered with oil-free make-up. The raised area will become flatter over the following 24 hours and normal colour should return quickly. The amount of settling, and how long it takes, will vary from person to person.

Dermal fillers for eyes and mouth ?- The effect of these injections lasts for 3-6 months.

Natural Dermal Fillers ?- Are natural substances found in your skin, muscles, tendons and bones. It is the protein that forms the strong layer of your skin. Because the material used in these treatments is made and purified from steer hide, you need to be tested for possible allergy. This means having a test dose injection before you can start treatments.

Cheeks and scars ?- The product used is suitable for minimising facial lines, especially cheek folds, and scars. The exciting part of this treatment is the long-lasting effect, with results still present after 18 months.
