Liposuction

Liposculpture is one of the most commonly performed plastic surgery operations. It is the process of removing unwanted deposits of fatty tissue from virtually any area.

Laser liposculpture, otherwise known as liposuction, relies on the elasticity of the skin to retract and "take up" the space occupied by fat. It is therefore best suited to people with firm, elastic skin. The younger you are, the higher the chances that liposculpture will be the appropriate method of body contouring. Liposculpture is best reserved for contouring rather than for weight or body size reduction but when used appropriately, it can give excellent improvement in the shape of the abdomen, arms, legs, thighs, buttocks, knees as well as ankles.

Abdominal bulges and love handles can be reduced or even flattened out through liposuction. "Saddlebags" in the outer thighs can be reduced to create an elegant curve from the waist to the high. Upper buttocks can be contoured. Our Sydney experts can conduct this method of laser liposuction at a cost that is fitted to meet your needs.

The best thing about liposculpture is that it is a long-term solution. The removed fat does not regenerate and it does not come back. Also, removing fat from one area does NOT make you more likely to gain weight elsewhere. Provided you do not gain any weight following your procedure, the improvements in body shape are long lasting. Depending on the extent of the procedure, laser liposuction can be performed either in a day surgery at our Sydney clinic, under twilight sedation or in a hospital under general anaesthetic.
